lip sync

At the very beginning of this project, before we had chosen our groups or begun any planning, we were informed about the difficulties surrounding successful lip-syncing. Our teacher wanted to demonstrate to us how problematic it can be for the subject to appear as though they are really signing rather than miming the words and the editing process which follows.
After Chloe and I were made aware of this, we decided that poor lip syncing can in fact cause the audience to feel uninspired or negative toward the artist, thus making us determined to perfect lip-syncing in our music video from initial shooting, to editing the footage.
Here are some screen shots of successful lip-syncing in our music video.
Initial we found it difficult when using final cut pro to lip-sync as the logical side of it would sometimes cause confusion; whether the footage came first or the music. Eventually, after many attempts, we physically stated which came first; footage or music and drew diagrams to make it distinctly clear.
